Medical device adherence
is a population health lever.
It's time to measure it.

PraxisBlue is a think-tank and resource hub focused on advancing the case for medical device adherence as a value-based opportunity. We curate the research, develop the data standards, and convene the people working to bring ancillary providers into value-based care.

Our position

Ancillary medical device providers have been systematically excluded from value-based care — not because their impact is absent, but because no one has built the analytical framework to surface it. The evidence supporting device adherence as a population health and cost variable is real and growing. PraxisBlue exists to gather it, organize it, and make it accessible to everyone.

What we do

A resource hub for a field
still finding its framework.

PraxisBlue brings together the research, data tools, and professional network needed to establish medical device adherence as a recognized value-based opportunity — for providers, payers, and the researchers working at this intersection.

Research & Evidence
PraxisBlue is a curated source for research supporting medical device adherence as a value-based opportunity — spanning population health outcomes, cost offset evidence, and commercial VBC program analysis.
Data Specifications and Roadmaps
We develop and share open data specification templates that define how device adherence data should be structured and reported for population-level program evaluation — freely available to any organization building in this space.
Network & Convening
We bring together device providers, commercial payers, and VBC researchers around a shared conviction — that the evidence exists, the data is ready, and the framework to act on it is within reach.

The case for device adherence
as a value-based opportunity.

PraxisBlue curates and shares research that supports the inclusion of medical device adherence in value-based care frameworks — from population health outcome studies to commercial payer program analysis. If you have relevant research to contribute, we want to hear from you.

Device-to-Value (DAV): A Progressive Participation Framework for Translating Medical Device Adherence Data into Outcomes-Based Payer Contracts
Introduces the DAV framework — a population and line-of-business-agnostic methodology that translates device adherence data into a structured on-ramp for value-based payer relationships. Illustrated across CPAP, NPWT, and automated insulin delivery.

data in value-based programs.

These specifications define what data needs to be captured, how it should be structured, and what payer analytics teams require to evaluate an outcomes-based program. Available to download and use freely.
